We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, partnering with business leaders, and driving process improvements. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and maintaining the integrity of financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and record journal entries in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- Review financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Monitor and maintain fixed assets, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to improve financial processes and internal controls.
- Assist with sales tax, property tax, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff when applicable.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- CPA designation or CPA-track candidate preferred.
- Experience in a high-growth or multi-entity environment.
- Strong process improvement and systems implementation experience.
