Science Teacher in Zion, IL

Inspire the next generation as an 8th Grade Science Teacher in a vibrant middle school setting near Zion, IL. This full-time, onsite contract position spans the academic year from August 17 to May 27, 2027. Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with relevant endorsement(s)
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, instructional planning, and classroom management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with students, colleagues, and families
• Passion for engaging students at the middle school level, particularly in science education

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver dynamic, standards-based science instruction to 8th grade students, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning styles and needs
• Develop and implement engaging curriculum and assessments that promote scientific inquiry and critical thinking
• Foster a supportive classroom culture that encourages participation, curiosity, and academic growth
• Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide timely feedback to students and guardians
• Participate in school meetings, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities as needed
