Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Fortuna, CA

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

You’ll play a vital role in patient safety and perioperative care alongside a skilled surgical team.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week guaranteed, except for Independence Day and Labor Day weeks (32-hour minimum).

Key Qualifications:

• Active California RN license (required)
• BLS certification (current)
• Recent TB clearance (within the past 12 months)
• Proven background in operating room/OR circulator roles
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication abilities

Position Duties:

• Serve as circulating nurse in the operating room, ensuring adherence to sterile technique and patient safety
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists
• Prepare the operating room and required instrumentation for each case
• Conduct preoperative and postoperative patient assessments
• Accurately document patient care and maintain clear medical records
• Advocate for patient well-being throughout perioperative phases
• Collaborate on maintaining efficiency and a safe working environment
