Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare facility in the Orlando, FL area is expanding its per diem pharmacy team to provide exceptional care for the HIV/AIDS patient population. This opportunity is ideal for experienced pharmacists who are compassionate, proactive, and dedicated to delivering specialized retail pharmacy services in a community-focused setting.
Location:
- Orlando, FL
- Additional per diem work available in nearby Plantation (Ft. Lauderdale), FL
Schedule:
- Per diem hours, primarily Thursdays (e.g., 7/30, 8:30a-5:30p)
- Operating hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30a - 5:30p; Friday 8:30a - 12:30p (no weekends)
- Flexible shifts expected as current pharmacist increases PTO
Responsibilities:
- Dispense HIV/AIDS medications with accuracy and care using QS1 software
- Build trust and establish rapport with patients with sensitivity and respect
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and the pharmacy team
- Maintain a high level of patient care and communication for a sensitive patient population
- Exhibit pharmacy intuition by identifying and addressing workflow needs proactively
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Florida pharmacist license
- 1-2+ years of retail or specialty pharmacy experience, explicitly including HIV/AIDS medication dispensing
- Proficiency with QS1 pharmacy software
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated empathy and professionalism in supporting patients living with infectious diseases
- Dependability and punctuality in attendance
- Positive and proactive approach to pharmacy duties
