From August 18th through June 11th, you'll play a vital role in helping students reach their communication and language goals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid Michigan SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
- Previous experience or strong interest in working within a school setting
- Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
- Dedication to fostering student growth and collaboration with educators and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in K-8 students
- Develop and implement IEP goals and individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver direct therapy services to students while monitoring and reporting progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student success
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team conferences, and professional development
