Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students’ communication development in a dynamic elementary school setting. This onsite position, conveniently located near Pinson, AL, offers the chance to work with a dedicated caseload of approximately 50 students, spanning from August 2026 through May 2027. You’ll collaborate with educational staff, share expertise, and help shape a supportive learning environment for young learners.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) State License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid Educator Certificate for Alabama schools
- Experience in a school-based setting, preferably elementary level
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress tracking, and data-driven intervention
- Excellent interpersonal, consultation, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services onsite at Cleveland Elementary School
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for a diverse student caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records, complete required documentation, and attend IEP meetings
- Utilize best practices and evidence-based strategies for effective intervention
- Foster an inclusive, positive environment to empower students academically and socially
