School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Buda, Texas

A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to work with elementary students in the Austin area. This role spans approximately August 3rd to October 23rd, providing essential coverage for a leave of absence during the upcoming school term.

This assignment involves a weekly commitment of around 37.5 hours, with a typical workday from 8am to 4pm. Serve a diverse caseload of roughly 50 elementary students, including both push-in therapy for life skills programs and targeted support for third grade. You’ll partner closely with educators, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team to champion communication growth in young learners.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Texas SLP license and current CCC
• Recent experience providing services in a school-based setting
• Strong knowledge of PLAAFPs (Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance) and goal writing
• Familiarity with MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) processes
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organization skills
• Capacity to perform speech-only evaluations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy sessions via push-in and pull-out services
• Conduct student observations and participate in MTSS meetings
• Write and update PLAAFPs, develop goals, and document progress for each student
• Complete speech-only evaluations due in October for your caseload
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to coordinate student support
• Support third grade and life skills classrooms as needed
