Make a meaningful impact in students’ lives by supporting learners with visual impairments across elementary, middle, and high school levels. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work full-time, Monday to Friday, during the upcoming school year from August 10, 2026, through May 27, 2027. You’ll be part of a dedicated collaboration with educators, families, and administrators, promoting accessible education for every student.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI Teacher)
  • Experience adapting educational methods and materials for visually impaired students
  • Proficiency in both formal and informal assessments of student achievement
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate in multidisciplinary meetings, including ARD
  • Experience supporting learners in elementary, middle, and high school settings preferred
  • Ability to follow district protocols and individualized education program requirements

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to students across various grade levels
  • Customize curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate individual needs
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and monitor progress toward goals
  • Participate actively in ARD meetings, preparing and presenting relevant data
  • Maintain accurate records of services, assessments, and outcomes
  • Foster collaboration with general education staff and families to maximize student success
