A dynamic contract opportunity awaits for the upcoming school year, perfect for a dedicated educator skilled in delivering inclusive instruction. This full-time role offers the chance to work in an itinerant capacity, serving both a middle school and two elementary schools in the area surrounding Aurora, IL.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement required
  • Prior experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, preferably in a school-based setting
  • Strong knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and appropriate instructional accommodations
  • Ability to support a diverse caseload across multiple school sites
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing from elementary through middle school levels
  • Travel between assigned school locations as needed for student instruction and consultation
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure effective inclusion and educational progress
  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEP goals, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
  • Advocate for students’ needs and facilitate access to resources and accommodations
