Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year! This full-time, contract role offers the chance to make a real difference across multiple schools within a supportive K-12 setting. From August 2026 through June 2027, you’ll work closely with students and educators to provide high-quality speech and language services and support positive student outcomes.
Key Qualities & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for school-based SLP in Connecticut
- Previous experience within a school setting serving K-12 students preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Comfortable working across multiple schools in a districtwide role
- In-person availability required for the duration of the contract
What You’ll Do:
- Assess and identify the speech and language needs of K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy and consultative services in accordance with IEPs
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to maximize student success
- Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings as part of the student support team
- Adapt therapy approaches across various school environments
