Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Buda, TX
Job Description
Help create a supportive learning environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving an elementary school near Buda, TX. This 12-week contract position begins August 3rd and runs through October 23rd, covering a leave of absence. You’ll work full-time hours (approximately 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 7.5 hours per day) providing essential services to a diverse caseload of 50 students, including push-in support for Life Skills classrooms and 3rd grade.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active SLP license in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly valued
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Confident in preparing and facilitating ARDs and writing PLAAFPs and student goals
- Familiarity with MTSS processes and completing progress reports
- Ability to conduct speech-only evaluations and observe students as needed
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, parents, and school teams
What You'll Do:
- Provide therapy and support for students on your caseload, tailoring interventions for a variety of needs
- Push into Life Skills and 3rd grade classrooms to deliver services
- Write and update PLAAFP statements and student goals as required
- Prepare, facilitate, and archive speech-only ARDs for students
- Attend MTSS meetings, observe students, and consult with educators
- Complete and document speech-only evaluations as scheduled
- Update student progress reports at the end of the first grading period
