Exciting contract opportunity available for a skilled occupational therapist eager to make an impact in educational settings. This role focuses on providing high-quality OT services to K-8 students, collaborating closely with educators and support staff in a dynamic environment near Boston, MA. You’ll have the chance to address school-based needs while utilizing your expertise across healthcare, home health, and educational OT practices.
Qualifications:
- Must hold current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Massachusetts.
- Previous experience in school settings, home health, or general healthcare strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of pediatric therapy strategies for school-aged children.
- Effective communicator who collaborates well with teachers, parents, and fellow therapists.
- Organized and able to manage a flexible caseload across multiple grade levels.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify students’ functional needs within the K-8 population.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to student goals.
- Deliver therapy services, monitor student progress, and maintain detailed documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing OT expertise to multidisciplinary teams.
- Guide teachers and staff in integrating occupational therapy strategies into classroom routines.
- Communicate regularly with families and caregivers regarding student progress.
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines throughout the assignment.
