Job Description
Step into a pivotal role supporting students’ communication and learning needs in this contract opportunity for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist. This onsite position runs from late August to early June with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll work directly with a dedicated caseload of 40-50 elementary students, while also providing services to some secondary-age learners. Your expertise will be essential in conducting therapy sessions, completing evaluations, and participating in school team meetings to ensure each student receives the support they need.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and active Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist license (please be ready to submit a copy or screenshot)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience in school settings working with elementary and secondary students strongly preferred
- Ability to deliver both assessment and therapy services, adapting to a range of student needs
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Organizational skills to manage a caseload of 40-50 students efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to assigned students
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assist in IEP development
- Participate in student support meetings and collaborate with educators and families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy activities
- Support both elementary and select secondary students as assigned
This position is onsite, situated in a welcoming public school environment fostering positive student outcomes. While teletherapy is not currently available, there is a possibility it may be considered should onsite candidates not be found.
