Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students with speech and language needs starting August 19, 2026, through May 28, 2027. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week, working closely with students, teachers, and families to enhance communication and academic success in a supportive educational setting near Columbus, OH.
Ideal candidates are passionate about providing direct and consultative speech services within a collaborative, school-based environment. You’ll work with a diverse caseload ranging from kindergarten to high school seniors, making a meaningful contribution each day.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid licensure to practice as an SLP in Ohio, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
- Previous experience working in K-12 student populations preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to students individually and in groups
- Document progress and maintain compliance with IEP and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate therapy into the classroom environment
- Support and advise classroom teachers in implementing communication strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of measurable goals
