A full-time contract opportunity is available for an experienced and passionate educator to co-teach English classes, focusing on reading, writing, and comprehension at a dynamic school in the Phoenix area for the duration of the 2024-2027 school years. This position is strictly onsite, collaborating with fellow educators onsite to foster a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Current Arizona Secondary Teaching License required
  • Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card mandatory
  • Proven experience teaching English/ELA at the secondary (high school) level
  • Experience or endorsement in Special Education is a strong advantage
  • Ability to co-teach and adapt instruction for diverse learners
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, standards-based ELA instruction in a co-taught classroom setting
  • Tailor lessons to meet a range of student needs in reading, writing, and comprehension
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop engaging curriculum and assessment tools
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor, record, and report student progress effectively
  • Uphold school and district policies, promoting student success and well-being
