Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure (required)
- Experience working with Pre-K or early childhood populations preferred
- Familiarity with behavioral intervention and transition programming for young children
- Strong skills in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (OT, PT, SLP, Autism Consultants, etc.)
- Ability to conduct preschool student evaluations with sensitivity and care
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, especially when collaborating with families and educators
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide First Step Transition behavioral intervention services for Pre-K students, supporting school readiness, social-emotional development, and positive classroom behaviors
- Implement behavioral coaching and consultation for classroom teachers, track student progress, and facilitate collaboration with families
- Deliver evidence-based behavioral interventions and targeted support to assist Pre-K students’ successful entry into the school setting
- Participate in multidisciplinary evaluations for incoming students and collaborate with staff such as occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, autism specialists, and nurses
- Manage a caseload of approximately 70 preschool-aged students, with occasional required flexibility for extra hours
- Engage with children and parents during on-site, two-day multidisciplinary testing sessions
This contract spans from August 14, 2026 to June 4, 2027, for 35 weekly hours onsite in a dedicated preschool setting designed for children with varied abilities.
