Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for an experienced clinical pharmacist to support an 18-bed Med-Surg and 10-bed Emergency Department inpatient facility. This per diem role is based in Redlands, CA, and requires strong inpatient and compounding experience. The position includes weekday day shifts with on-call responsibilities on weekends and after hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and review medication orders to ensure accuracy, appropriateness, and patient safety.
  • Compound sterile medications including IV admixtures and unit dose medications (excluding chemotherapy/hazardous drugs).
  • Support emergency response by assisting with codes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and sterile compounding guidelines.
  • Monitor patients’ medication therapy and provide clinical recommendations to physicians and nursing staff.
  • Maintain Pyxis machines, potentially supporting 2 family health centers in the area.
  • Collaborate with a PRN technician who may work full-time to assist with inventory and data entry tasks.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and clear California Pharmacist License.
  • Minimum of 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience is required.
  • Previous experience with CSPI/Evident and Pyxis software preferred; training available if needed.
  • Experience managing pharmacy operations as the sole clinical pharmacist preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to fulfill on-call duties after hours and weekends.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (full-time schedule) with on-call rotation outside these hours.
