Pharmacy Technician - Franklin, TN

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Pharmacy Technicians are needed for part-time positions supporting a busy mail order, renal specialty pharmacy. This contract opportunity is ideal for individuals eager to contribute in a pharmacy environment processing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. The pharmacy leverages the Wellsky order entry system and operates without automation, providing a hands-on technician experience.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Location: Franklin, TN

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in either a customer service capacity or a dispensing role, depending on assignment.
• Customer service tasks include verifying shipping details, entering new patient information, and maintaining updated patient profiles within the pharmacy software.
• Dispensing duties involve accurately filling and dispensing medications in accordance with prescriptions.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and regulatory standards while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a mail order or specialty pharmacy setting.
• Proficient with pharmacy software systems; experience with Wellsky is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and medication dispensing.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a pharmacy team.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and team members.
• Reliable availability for evening shifts on weekdays.
