Make a meaningful difference as a School Psychologist by supporting students, educators, and families throughout the academic year. This full-time, in-person contract role is based near Axton, VA and begins in August, continuing through June. You’ll provide vital psychological services, contribute to a positive school culture, and play a key role in student success.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or state licensure (or eligibility)
  • Master’s or specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Thorough understanding of assessment tools, behavioral interventions, and special education processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, staff, and families
  • Commitment to working full-time on site, Monday through Friday
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological, behavioral, and academic assessments to support student learning
  • Develop and present comprehensive evaluation reports for IEP and eligibility meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to design appropriate interventions
  • Support crisis intervention, preventive mental health strategies, and positive behavioral supports
  • Work directly with students individually and in groups to address emotional, academic, and social needs
  • Provide consultation and guidance to families and staff regarding student needs and resources
