Step into an impactful role supporting elementary students as a part-time school social worker, covering a maternity leave from late August to early December 2026. Working two to three days per week, you’ll enjoy manageable caseloads—currently just three students—ensuring you can make personalized connections and tailor interventions effectively. Typical hours run from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm, providing work-life balance within a structured school schedule.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) degree required
  • Valid certification as a school social worker
  • Experience in elementary school settings preferred
  • Strong background working with students in Emotional Disabilities (ED) programs is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling to students in the ED program
  • Develop and implement individualized support strategies and behavioral interventions
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure comprehensive student support
  • Maintain documentation and progress notes in line with school protocols
