Step into an engaging Pre-K environment where your expertise as a General Education Teacher and ESL Teacher can have a profound impact on young learners. This full-time, onsite position runs from mid-August through late May, giving you the chance to guide bilingual and English language students on their educational journey.
In this dual-language pre-kindergarten classroom, your responsibilities will center on supporting early learners in their acquisition of English as a Second Language. You’ll collaborate with other educators to design and implement tailored lesson plans, focusing on the unique needs and abilities of Pre-K students. Your role will be essential in nurturing a welcoming, inclusive classroom where language development and academic growth are celebrated daily.
What we’re seeking:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related area
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License with the appropriate ESL or Bilingual endorsement(s)
- Experience designing curriculum, planning lessons, and providing effective instruction to diverse learners
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for productive collaboration and parent engagement
- Comfort and professionalism working exclusively onsite with Pre-K children in a classroom setting
Daily responsibilities:
- Deliver creative, age-appropriate ESL instruction to Pre-K students
- Develop and adapt curriculum in collaboration with education teams
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom culture that encourages language development
- Assess student progress and regularly communicate outcomes to families and staff
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional techniques
