Instructional Assistant - Elk River, Minnesota

Step into a rewarding paraprofessional role supporting elementary students across multiple schools in the Anoka-Hennepin area. This contract position offers a meaningful way to impact young learners while working alongside dedicated educators. Positions are available at several elementary schools—let us know which location is your top choice, as each site has its own interview team and specific needs.

This is a full-time assignment (32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday), beginning approximately 8/31/2026, and continuing through 11/29/2026. After completing the 90-day contract period (422 hours), you may be considered for a direct hire position.

Desired Qualifications:

• Highly qualified paraprofessional status, achieved by ONE of the following:
  • Passing the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam)
  • At least 60 college credits (must submit official transcripts—not a diploma or photo of a degree)
• Resume and highly qualified documentation required for consideration
• Willingness to support students with a wide range of needs, including assistance with toileting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to reliably commute and work at your selected school site

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional and physical support to students as directed by classroom teachers and administration
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Assist with classroom management, activities, and daily routines
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all school settings
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training
