Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in education by supporting students and staff as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic contract position. This assignment offers a consistent four-day workweek, primarily spent onsite, collaborating across both elementary and high school levels to offer comprehensive OT services. The schedule runs from mid-August through early June, providing a stable and engaging environment for dedicated professionals eager to foster student growth and development.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure required
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting is highly valued
- Comfortable managing caseloads spanning elementary and high school populations
- Strong organization, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary school teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine individual therapy needs and goals
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to students’ abilities
- Deliver direct therapy services three days per week at an elementary school and one day at a high school
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to ensure coordinated care
- Attend meetings, contribute to IEPs, and participate in ongoing professional development as necessary
