Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
• Previous experience supporting K-12 students with visual impairments preferred
• Familiarity with Braille instruction, assistive technology, and accessible curriculum adaptation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school personnel
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Your Impact and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Partner with classroom teachers and staff to adapt class materials and create accessible resources
• Monitor student progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Advocate for student access across educational settings and support skill development in areas such as orientation, mobility, and assistive technology
• Communicate regularly with families and support teams to ensure cohesive support
