Step into a dynamic role as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist, making a difference across multiple educational settings near La Grange, IL. This flexible opportunity is ideal for an SLP interested in a part-time, travel-based position, supporting students with varied needs while working within supportive school environments.
In this role, you will split your time among three engaging assignments:
- 1 day each week in a self-contained complex needs classroom
- 1 day in a similar specialty classroom serving diverse learners
- Half a day focusing on a speech-only caseload at a private school
Ideal candidates are organized, adaptable, and eager to foster communication skills in students requiring a range of supports. Your ability to travel between locations will allow you to broaden your impact and experience unique settings throughout the week.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or pending state licensure/credentials to practice as an SLP in schools
- Experience working with students who have complex needs is highly valued
- Reliable transportation for travel between assignments
- Commitment to providing high-quality, individualized speech therapy services
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and implement speech and language interventions tailored to individual student goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with IEP and school requirements
- Adapt therapy techniques to serve students in both specialized classrooms and speech-only caseloads
