Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description The Opportunity: Saint Luke's Health System is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse for their Cardiology Wellness Center at the Plaza In this LPN role, you will have the opportunity to work remote from your home 1 day per week in the KC Metro area as allowed by clinic need. Candidates must live in the KC Metro area. Work from home Responsibilities:\n

• Answer calls from internal staff, pharmacies, external healthcare providers, and patients.
\n
• Review normal lab results with patients.
\n
• Process refill requests.
\n
• Address patient questions, complaints, and/or concerns.
\n
• FMLA paperwork and other administrative responsibilities.
\n

Work in the clinic Responsibilities:\n

\n
• Assist Medical Assistants when needed with EKGs, Rooming Patients, Monitor Patches and Rhythm Monitors.
\n
• Assist RNs within scope of practice with walk-in visits and other responsibilities.
\n
• Answer calls from internal staff, pharmacies, external healthcare providers, and patients.
\n
• Review normal lab results with patients.
\n
• Process refill requests.
\n
• Address patient questions, complaints, and/or concerns.
\n
• FMLA paperwork and other administrative responsibilities.
\n

Shift Details: Work in clinic and remotely as clinic schedules allow No nights, No weekends *Flexible scheduling with 8 or 10 hour shift options available We would like to keep this specific to each location, the supervisor for that area can let you know which shift they need. The Work:\n

\n
• Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
\n
• Responsible for screening walk-in patients, telephone screening (with protocols), medication/injection education, assist with procedures, cleaning wounds, dressing changes.
\n
• Able to work in a team atmosphere, as well as autonomously.
\n
• Delegates tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel UAP in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.
\n
• May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties as needed.
\n
