Speech Language Pathologist in Chestertown, MD

Step into a rewarding contract assignment as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students at a PreK-2 school from October 1st to December 23rd. This essential role covers a school-based FMLA leave, offering an enriching opportunity to make a difference in young learners’ communication and language development during a pivotal time in their educational journey.

What you bring:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid SLP license for the state
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
• Experience serving school-age children, ideally in early elementary settings
• Strong assessment, therapy, and case management skills
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities with teachers, students, and families

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students in PreK through 2nd grade
• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
• Maintain and manage student case records, documentation, and progress reports
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes
• Provide consultative support to classroom teachers to help integrate communication goals into educational activities
• Ensure services align with district, state, and federal guidelines
