Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract assignment as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students at a PreK-2 school from October 1st to December 23rd. This essential role covers a school-based FMLA leave, offering an enriching opportunity to make a difference in young learners’ communication and language development during a pivotal time in their educational journey.
What you bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for the state
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- Experience serving school-age children, ideally in early elementary settings
- Strong assessment, therapy, and case management skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities with teachers, students, and families
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students in PreK through 2nd grade
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Maintain and manage student case records, documentation, and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes
- Provide consultative support to classroom teachers to help integrate communication goals into educational activities
- Ensure services align with district, state, and federal guidelines
