Job Description
Inspire and shape the minds of young learners as a dedicated educator at the intermediate level, focusing on English Language Arts and Social Studies for 5th-grade students. This full-time, onsite opportunity covers the academic year from August 17 through May 27, 2027. Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate endorsement(s).
- Proficiency in curriculum development, instructional planning, and implementation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience with 5th-grade learners, especially in ELA and Social Studies content.
- Flexibility and passion for engaging students in both subjects, with ability to adapt teaching strategies to diverse learners.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in English Language Arts and Social Studies to 5th-grade students, utilizing relevant, creative, and interactive teaching techniques.
- Develop lesson plans that meet state standards, incorporating differentiation to address varying student needs.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and administrators to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage student participation in classroom discussions and activities to promote an inspiring learning atmosphere.
- Maintain a focus on student safety, well-being, and socio-emotional growth throughout the school year.
