Job Description
Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students’ communication and academic success in a dynamic educational environment. This position focuses on providing school-based speech-language pathology services for the upcoming academic year, from late August through early June, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours each week. You’ll work directly with a diverse caseload of 40–50 students—primarily at the elementary level, with some secondary student involvement—delivering both direct therapy and essential evaluation services.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a current and active Speech-Language Pathology license in Minnesota (please include verification with your application)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience as a school-based SLP strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP procedures, multidisciplinary collaboration, and special education processes
- Ability to adapt services to meet varied student needs while maintaining documentation and compliance standards
- Strong skills in therapy delivery, assessment, and parent/teacher communication
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to assigned students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and document findings clearly
- Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions to support student growth
- Maintain accurate records of service delivery, progress monitoring, and communication logs
- Collaborate seamlessly with education staff, support teams, and families
