Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Completion of at least two years of college credits from an accredited institution, or possession of an associate degree or higher
- OR a passing score on an approved formal academic assessment (ParaPro, ParaPathways, The Master Teacher), or demonstration of all competencies listed in the state-approved competency grid
- PCA certificate, or willingness to obtain one (free process, less than an hour)
- Minimum one year of experience working with school-aged children in a professional environment
- Prior experience as a school-based paraprofessional preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to classroom teachers and special education professionals as a substitute Paraprofessional or Educational Assistant
- Assist with classroom management, student supervision, and fostering a positive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with staff to address the diverse needs of students, including those with special needs
- Uphold school policies and ensure student safety at all times
- Participate in team meetings and training as required
This onsite, per diem position—no remote work—includes a schedule of approximately 6.5 hours per day, throughout the duration of the school year. You will be a crucial part of maintaining stability and encouragement for students and educators alike.
