Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A staffing opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide expert pharmacy services in a long-term care (LTC) and mail order environment. This 13-week contract position offers variable shifts Monday through Sunday, supporting critical medication management needs.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: Shifts vary weekly between 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, or 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accept and accurately dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal standards.
  • Monitor patient medication adherence and detect overuse patterns to ensure safe therapy.
  • Maintain detailed, confidential patient records and manage pharmacy documentation meticulously.
  • Provide counseling on medications, including usage instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Offer patient services such as smoking cessation guidance, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
  • Educate patients on proper use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
  • Compound medications, including sterile preparations, following proper protocols.
  • Supervise pharmacy team members, including technicians and clerks, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address drug-related problems and optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
  • Current Minnesota Pharmacy license mandatory.
  • Experience in long-term care pharmacy environments preferred.
  • IV compounding skills are a plus but not required.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
