Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Seeking two skilled Pharmacists for a 13-week contract opportunity supporting pharmacy operations within a warehouse setting. This role focuses on ensuring efficient management and distribution of pharmaceutical products while maintaining stringent compliance and quality standards.

  • Itasca, IL

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty items.
  • Manage inventory levels by ordering medications and supplies to minimize waste and expired products.
  • Ensure all storage meets USP standards and complies with state and federal regulations.
  • Verify medication orders prior to preparation and shipment.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians handling inventory, picking, packing, and shipping tasks.
  • Collaborate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to maintain adequate medication and supply availability.
  • Review and document controlled substance inventory accurately.
  • Perform cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and quality assurance audits.
  • Work closely with purchasing, nursing, and operations units to facilitate timely medication delivery.
  • Utilize pharmacy software and inventory management systems for tracking purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Active, clear Illinois Pharmacist license.
  • Some knowledge or experience with IV medication preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy compliance standards and inventory management best practices.
