School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Ramah, New Mexico

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, providing essential support for students from Pre-K through 12th grade across four local schools. You’ll have the chance to work closely with a diverse group of 50-75 children each week, contributing to their academic experience and personal growth through impactful therapy.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credentials in New Mexico
• NM State licensure and Education Certificate required
• Experience or strong interest in school-based OT settings
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, therapists, and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, goal-oriented occupational therapy sessions individually or in small groups (30-60 minutes each)
• Support students across a wide range of needs to maximize participation in academic and daily school activities
• Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records
• Collaborate with licensed OTs, teachers, and school staff to develop and implement IEP goals
• Provide consultation and resources to faculty and parents for student success
• Adapt interventions for different age groups, from Pre-K through 12th grade

Job Details:

• Contract position
• Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week
• Monday through Friday, regular school hours
