This contract opportunity runs from August 7th through June 10th, offering a chance to work closely with school-aged students, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure each child receives tailored support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to students, adapting approaches based on assessed needs and IEP goals.
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments utilizing current medical and psychological instruments.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations related to special education and other regulated programs.
  • Compile, analyze, and report data pertaining to student progress and program effectiveness.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with staff, students, and families—both in writing and verbally.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication.
  • Work assignments will align with district needs and may vary in specific location or caseload.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educator Certification is required.
  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Expertise in pediatric and adolescent development, particularly cognitive and physical milestones.
  • Deep understanding of terminology and best practices regarding physical and learning disabilities.
  • Preferred: ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to interpret complex laws, policies, and student data.
