Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students by providing one-on-one behavioral support as a Registered Behavior Technician. This contract opportunity is structured for the upcoming school year and offers the chance to work collaboratively with educators and specialists within an engaging learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Previous experience supporting children in elementary or school settings preferred
- Background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methods and data collection
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists
- Ability to demonstrate patience, dependability, and adaptability within a school environment
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical professional standards
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver consistent, individualized behavioral interventions to elementary-aged students in a one-to-one setting
- Collect and record accurate data on student progress and behavior using approved protocols
- Partner with classroom teachers and school teams to implement strategies and ensure program fidelity
- Assist with daily routines and classroom activities, adapting interventions to meet student needs
- Employ de-escalation techniques and reinforce positive behaviors whenever appropriate
- Participate in regular meetings and ongoing professional development as required by the school district
This position follows the academic calendar, running from August 27, 2026, to June 12, 2027. The schedule provides a balanced workweek (35 hours, Monday to Friday, 8:15am-3:45pm), and includes a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks each day.
