Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting students in Autism and Early Years Programs as a school-based behavior professional! If you're passionate about providing behavioral support in an educational environment, this contract opportunity offers the chance to work full-time, Monday through Friday, from August 2026 to June 2027. With a focus on moderate to severe cognitive needs, you'll help foster positive outcomes for students in an engaging, collaborative setting.
Key Qualifications:
- For BCBA candidates: Active BCBA certification is required; school-based experience is highly valued.
- For Behavior Specialist candidates: Delaware PARA Permit required; relevant degree and ABA program experience preferred. RBT or in pursuit of BCBA certification a plus.
- Strong understanding of behavior strategies and dedication to data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary school teams.
- Experience supporting individuals with autism or developmental delays is ideal.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct behavioral assessments and develop tailored support plans.
- Collaborate with educators and specialists to implement effective intervention strategies.
- Monitor student progress through data collection and adjust behavioral interventions as needed.
- Lead professional development sessions and provide training for school staff.
- Maintain up-to-date records and adhere to school and program guidelines.
- Serve as a resource within early childhood and autism program classrooms.
This assignment is based entirely on-site, providing a dynamic and interactive environment to make a daily difference. You'll be part of a dedicated team focused on shaping positive experiences for students in both Autism and Early Years/PreK programs.
