General Education Teacher | Warwick, Rhode Island

Step into an exciting opportunity to make a difference as a Middle School Science Teacher on a contract basis, supporting students across 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Located just outside Warwick, RI, this position embraces learners’ curiosity and brings classroom science to life for around 20 students in a supportive environment.

The assignment begins with staff orientation on August 24th, and students start on August 31st. Each school day runs from 7:45 AM to 2:55 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance in a vibrant educational community.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in General Education, with a focus on Science.
• Proven experience teaching science at the middle school level (grades 6-8).
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to inspire and engage students with hands-on, standards-based science instruction.
• Flexible attitude and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging general science lessons to middle school students.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry.
• Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with grade-level and subject-area teams to enhance curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Participate in staff development, faculty meetings, and parent communications as needed.
