Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Newark, Delaware
Job Description
Exciting opportunities await Speech-Language Pathologists and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants for the upcoming school year! We are seeking dedicated professionals to support students in both elementary schools and a specialized setting focused on medically complex learners with intensive support needs. These contract positions are located near Newark, DE, with multiple roles available from August 24, 2026, through June 16, 2027. While full-time on-site SLPs are preferred, flexible hybrid arrangements (three days onsite, two days remote) are available, and SLPAs are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active SLP license (CCC preferred, CFY considered)
- Experience in school-based, pediatric, or healthcare settings
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and progress monitoring skills
- Comfort with teletherapy or hybrid service delivery models
- Experience supporting students with complex medical needs is a plus
- SLPAs should possess the appropriate state registration and relevant clinical experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students individually and in small groups
- Conduct evaluations, IEP development, and ongoing progress assessments
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to adapt strategies for students with significant needs
- Consult with teachers, families, and support staff to maximize communication success in educational environments
- Maintain clear and timely documentation in accordance with district standards
- Flexibility to deliver services onsite and remotely as assigned
