Home Infusion Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Paterson, New Jersey

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy in New Jersey is seeking a Remote Pharmacist in Charge with active and unrestricted licenses in both New Jersey and California. This part-time role offers the opportunity to oversee pharmacy operations and ensure regulatory compliance in a dynamic environment supporting home infusion and sterile medication services.

Location: Remote (based in New Jersey)
Type: Contract, 8-12 weeks with potential for long-term engagement
Schedule:

• Approximately 24 hours per week
• Weekday shifts only, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No on-call duties

Responsibilities:

• Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and DEA requirements
• Oversee sterile and hazardous drug compounding practices to ensure safety and accuracy
• Supervise and support a team of 7 Technicians, 4 Pharmacists, a Director of Pharmacy, and a Pharmacy Coordinator
• Lead staff development, training, and performance management initiatives
• Review and approve patient care plans, confirming therapy appropriateness, dosing accuracy, and medication compatibility
• Hold full responsibility for pharmacy operations and overall regulatory adherence

Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Pharmacist licenses in both New Jersey and California
• Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) or in a management role preferred
• Familiarity with sterile medication verification is advantageous but not mandatory
