Job Description
Make an impact as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant supporting students across four schools, working with Pre-K through 12th grade. This full-time, contract opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with a total of 37.5 hours each week. You'll deliver direct occupational therapy services in both group and individual settings, working with a caseload of 50-75 students each week in 30-60 minute sessions.
Qualifications:
- Current New Mexico COTA licensure
- Valid NM education certificate
- Previous experience in a school setting highly valued
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Adaptable approach to varied grade levels and needs
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment for all students
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to Pre-K through 12th grade students across four schools
- Conduct thorough assessments and implement individualized activity plans
- Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, teachers, and support staff to enhance student outcomes
- Keep accurate documentation of services and student progress
- Consult with families and educational teams to support student growth and independence
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed and provide input on goal-setting
