Job Description
Our organization is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. This position is based onsite and involves executing treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist. Your primary focus will be on assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) training, ensuring safety, and promoting independence among seniors in both assisted living and memory care settings.
Key Responsibilities- Implement treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Assist residents with ADL training to enhance their independence.
- Ensure safety measures are in place for all activities.
- Document resident progress and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing and care teams.
- Provide education and support to residents and their families.
- Certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
This role is performed onsite, allowing for direct interaction with residents and the healthcare team.
