Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ communication growth for the new school year! This contract position allows you to make a meaningful difference, covering an essential leave from August 3rd to October 23rd (12 weeks). You’ll engage with a diverse caseload, providing therapy to approximately 50 students, including those in Life Skills programs and third grade.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Texas
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
  • Experience delivering school-based speech therapy services
  • Ability to create and document PLAAFPs, develop individualized goals, and update progress reports
  • Skilled in preparing and facilitating speech-only ARDs
  • Experience conducting speech-only evaluations in line with required timelines
  • Confident participating in MTSS meetings and observing students in the classroom setting
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech therapy services to a caseload of roughly 50 students
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students in Life Skills and general education settings
  • Write and update PLAAFPs, goals, and progress reports as required
  • Prepare and facilitate speech-only ARD meetings for students on your caseload
  • Attend MTSS meetings and conduct student observations as needed
  • Complete speech-only evaluations due during your contract period
  • Maintain thorough records and ensure compliance with all district and state requirements
