A healthcare facility specializing in a micro-hospital setting is seeking an Interim Pharmacist in Charge to provide expert pharmaceutical oversight and operational leadership. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to manage pharmacy services in a focused, patient-centered environment.

Location: Menomonee, WI
Schedule:

  • Day shift, 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday
  • On-call responsibilities required
  • No weekend coverage

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) and sole pharmacy staff member on-site
  • Manage all pharmacy operations including audits and medication restocking
  • Utilize Epic for order entry and Omnicell for automation in a specialized 7-bed Emergency Department and 8-bed inpatient micro-hospital
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining a high level of patient care
  • Collaborate remotely with local PIC and Pharmacy Director for orientation and ongoing support

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Wisconsin (WI licensure required)
  • Proven inpatient pharmacy experience with the ability to perform comprehensive PIC duties independently
  • Familiarity with Epic order entry and Omnicell medication systems preferred
  • Strong organizational and audit skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive compliance issues with integrity, including those related to controlled substance management
