Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with a dedicated student population near Madera, CA! This full-time, extended school year assignment seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with expertise in the school setting. Applicants should bring a minimum of two years of California school-based SLP experience and at least one year utilizing SEIS.
You'll work fully onsite (virtual services are not available) and collaborate closely with other professionals. Supervisory experience overseeing SLPAs with facilitators is preferred, and the ability to efficiently manage high caseloads and regular referrals is essential. While bilingual Spanish skills are highly valued, strong monolingual candidates are also welcome.
Enjoy a consistent workweek totaling 37.5 hours, and the position is open to both experienced SLPs and SLP Clinical Fellows—though SLPAs are not eligible to apply for this particular post. There is likely to be support from an SLPA already on site.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP license and CCC certification.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in California school settings.
- At least one year of documented SEIS usage.
- Supervisory experience with SLPAs (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills to handle high caseloads and referrals.
- Bilingual Spanish abilities (preferred but not required).
- Commitment to onsite service delivery.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments, therapy, and documentation in compliance with state and district standards.
- Supervise and mentor SLPAs as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive student care.
- Manage and prioritize numerous cases efficiently.
