Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract opportunity seeks a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to provide expert leadership within a 340B pharmacy setting. The role requires an interim PIC to step in as needed, especially in emergency situations where a current PIC resigns. The position involves onsite work based in either New York or California, with a contract duration of 3 to 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with regulations
- Manage staff and workflow to maintain efficient service
- Assume full PIC duties, including regulatory reporting and quality assurance
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and management teams
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Licensed pharmacist with multiple state licenses, ideally including AK, AL, AR, CA, IA, ID, IL, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MS, NE, NV, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA, and WV
- Experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or in a similar leadership role
- Familiarity with 340B pharmacy programs and compliance requirements
- Ability to work onsite in either New York or California as emergency needs arise

- Days/Afternoons schedule tailored to pharmacy operational hours
