Pharmacy Technician | La Vergne, Tennessee

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Join a specialized mail order pharmacy team focused on renal care, processing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. This contract position offers part-time hours from Monday to Friday, 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with an ASAP start. The pharmacy uses the Wellsky order entry system without automation, providing a hands-on experience in either customer service or dispensing roles.

Responsibilities:

• For customer service technicians: Verify shipping information, enter new patient data, and update patient profiles accurately within the pharmacy software system.
• For dispensing technicians: Accurately fill and dispense medications according to prescriptions and pharmacy guidelines.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other staff to ensure quality service and patient safety.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, ideally in a high-volume pharmacy setting.
• Proficiency or willingness to learn the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members.
• Valid pharmacy technician certification/license as required.
