Job Description
A hospital infusion center in Gold Beach, Oregon is seeking a knowledgeable Oncology Pharmacist to provide expert pharmacy services within their new Oncology Infusion Center. This 26-week contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with oncology nurses and providers to support infusion patients in a dynamic hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Prepare and dispense chemotherapy medications safely
- Compound hazardous drugs following appropriate protocols
- Collaborate with the oncology care team to optimize treatment plans
- Utilize EPIC electronic health record system effectively
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, active Oregon Pharmacist License (RPh)
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Proven experience working as a pharmacist in a hospital or infusion oncology center
- Expertise in chemotherapy medication preparation
- Hazardous drug compounding experience is essential
- Ability to work Monday–Friday on 8-hour shifts
