In this multifaceted schedule, you’ll spend one day each week supporting students in two self-contained complex needs classrooms, and half a day providing speech-only services in a Catholic school setting. Flexibility, reliability, and strong communication skills are key as you serve various sites.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP License for the state of Illinois
- Prior school-based experience strongly preferred
- Confidence working independently across multiple sites
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
- Passion for helping students achieve their communication goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver effective therapy sessions for students in both special education (complex needs) and general education settings
- Collaborate closely with classroom staff, teachers, and families
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports
- Travel to assigned schools in Westchester and Darien according to the provided weekly schedule
