Job Description
Step into a dynamic educational setting as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, where you’ll make a positive impact on students’ communication skills each day. This full-time contract opportunity offers openings at both elementary and secondary levels, providing the perfect environment to foster student growth and professional development.
You’ll serve a caseload averaging 55 student contacts per week, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs). Your commitment will help students overcome speech and language barriers, boost their academic success, and promote better classroom participation.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (CF) considered
- Experience in school settings (elementary and/or secondary) highly valued
- Proficiency in conducting screenings, evaluations, and developing therapy plans
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and other professionals
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
- Create and implement individualized intervention plans based on student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation
- Consult regularly with teachers and parents to support student progress
- Provide direct therapy during the elementary duty day (8:15 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.) or secondary duty day (7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
