Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students’ communication skills across two elementary schools. This engaging role is designed for a credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) with experience in school-based or teletherapy settings. You’ll work on-site, alternating locations: Mondays and Wednesdays at one building, Tuesdays and Thursdays at another, with hours from 8:30 to 3:30 each day. With a manageable caseload of around 50-60 students, your expertise will make a meaningful impact on young learners’ academic and social success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP-CCC certification
- Previous experience in K-6 educational settings
- Comfort with IEP processes and school-based paperwork
- Experience in teletherapy a plus
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess speech and language abilities to determine eligibility and service needs
- Develop and implement relevant therapy interventions aligning with students’ IEPs
- Conduct therapy sessions (individual and small group) tailored to diverse needs
- Collaborate with teachers and caregivers to support students’ communication development
- Maintain clear, thorough documentation of services and progress notes
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings as needed
- Contribute positively to a nurturing and inclusive school atmosphere
